Hillsborough County (Tampa)

Tampa tickets: same statewide course. Hillsborough Clerk handles the election; Cheapest Choice handles the 4-hour online class and e-filed certificate.

Pinellas County (St. Petersburg, Clearwater)

Pinellas drivers can finish BDI on a phone. Court acceptance is statewide DHSMV approval, not a local-only school.

Duval County (Jacksonville)

Jacksonville / Duval citations are covered. Elect with the Duval Clerk; take the course online from anywhere in Florida.

Brevard County (Melbourne, Palm Bay, Cocoa)

Cheapest Choice is based in Melbourne, FL. Brevard citations use the same DHSMV-approved online BDI as the rest of the state.

How county election works

The school is statewide. The election is local. If you want BDI instead of points, tell the clerk in the county on the ticket — usually within 30 days of the citation date — and pay that clerk’s election fee. Then complete Cheapest Choice online. Court-ordered students follow the court date instead.
